We are seeking a talented BI Engineer to join our team and contribute to our growing Business Intelligence (BI) capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PowerBI and SQL, with experience in data warehousing, data preparation, and report building. Familiarity with dbt and migration projects is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs for reporting and analytics.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using PowerBI to provide actionable insights to business users.
- Design and implement new dimensions and fact tables in the Data Warehouse, adhering to star schema and data warehousing best practices.
- Perform data analysis, data profiling, and data cleansing to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data.
- Collaborate with data engineers to integrate new data sources into the Data Warehouse.
- Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of the BI infrastructure.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a BI Engineer or a similar role.
- Proficiency in PowerBI and SQL, with a strong understanding of data visualization and report building.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and star schema design.
- Solid understanding of data modeling principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data transformation techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- A strong passion for data-driven decision making and delivering insights to stakeholders
Good to have
- Experience with migrating legacy Data Warehouses to the Cloud.
- Experience with AWS cloud services, in particular: Redshift, Athena, S3, Glue.
- Experience with dbt.
- Experience with Python.
