We are looking for a savvy Senior Business Intelligence, ETL Analytics Developer to join our growing team of data analytics experts who enable processing, modeling, and analysis of the data. The ideal candidate has a knack for seeing solutions in sprawling data sets and the business mindset to convert insights into strategic opportunities for our company.
The Senior Business Intelligence, ETL Analytics Developer will work closely with the Technical Product Owner to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions. They will ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating optimal processes and procedures for analytics.
Responsibilities
- Ad hoc data requests and data validation.
- Creation of new reports and dashboards across all business units and brands.
- Legacy data extraction for compliance and audit requests.
- Administer daily ETL processing and ensure it completes as scheduled.
- Code review for team members sprint releases.
- Updating Jira issues and requests to keep customers and Product Owners aware of the status.
Expectations
Candidate should be able to complete and document daily tasks for successful completion of committed sprint work. The candidate will be expected to create and iterate releases within a sprint. Break-fix and high-priority customer requests can occur during off hours. Ability to complete performance tuning for all data processing from ETL to Reporting.
Requirements
Must have:
- Strong SQL query skills (2-5 years)
- Star and Snowflake Schema properties
- Dataset refreshing and process scheduling orchestration
- Knowledge of batch job scheduling and process/query optimization techniques is preferred
- Background in SQL Server and SQL Services (versions 2005-2019)
- Performance tuning and optimization of report queries and ETL processes
- Identify and communicate data quality and data reconciliation issues
- Troubleshooting and resolving SSIS, Stored Procedures, and SQL CMD scripts
- Report Development in an Enterprise Reporting Platform (Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, Cognos )
- Create aesthetically pleasing, easy-to-use, professional dashboards
- Knowledge of AWS native technologies such as Glue, Athena, S3, Redshift, Quicksight
- Ad Hoc SQL Data extracts from set requirements
- Strong skillset with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or equivalent ETL Tool
- Knowledge of ETL\ELT Processes and Data Warehousing
- Knowledge of Agile development methodology
- Knowledge of team collaboration tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, etc., is preferred

- Good customer relations for asking questions to provide expected and timely results.
- Excellent written and communication skills for cross-team collaboration and development.
- Ability to use the issue tracking system to keep the status on daily work and bug fixes
- Ability to perform research tasks confirming new technologies adoption with the team
